Magnificent decor. Food was exceptional. Restrooms were spotless
Sergio opened this italian restaurant twenty years ago about a block from it's present location, now an impressive Mediterranean building with lots of stone and natural woods. Open and airy. The food is always good, pizza, calzone and pasta. A full bar. Friday and Saturday nights you have live music with Sergio himself playing.
All 4 of us had uncontrollable bathroom visits after eating here. Felt fine after getting whatever it was out. Good service but only 1 local ingredient on a 24$ 12 inch pizza isn't cool either. No local beers or drafts aside from a bottle made in California with a Kona label. There's a place down the street that has a bunch of locally sourced stuff for the same price. Guess this place can stay open on unhealthy tourists who don't care. I've never left a bad review on anything but this was to much.
Wonderful evening at Cafe IL Mondo. The owners Sergio and Gina are excellent hosts. Live music Italiano style performed by Sergio. We will be back.
Great spot for a drink and lunch. Loved the ambience and the friendly service. The clam chowder was really good.
