Wife was hungry on our drive from the botanic garden to the Kona airport. I was an easy stop. I asked an old guy sitting on a bench outside how the food is. He shrugged and said, "It depends." The food was completely edible, but nothing memorable except that everything seems to come with rice and mac salad. (Let's have starch--again). The twenty bucks I spent says is should have been better. She didn't eat it all. When we left, the old guy asked me how was the food. "Nothing special, but ok, I guess," I said.
Grilled cheese = mainly dry bread with a skimpy amount of fake cheese.
I'm giving a 3 because the kid really tried to please and it's not his fault owner didn't order burger patties. Huge tip: go down the road a little further to Tex Drive Inn. The food here is very bland. They failed to make a good BLT.
