Jamie and Grace did an exceptional ride and the scenery and history is very engaging. Both guides were knowledgeable and open with information. The van ride to the bottom of the valley can be a bit harrowing (only county road in HI that pedestrians do NOT have the right of way).
As we rode, Jaime told us about the history of this wonderful area. I could picture a whole community before the tsunami, living in this beautiful place, peacefully living on the land. Jaime knew so much, because he's the real deal, his family lived in the area back 10 generations.Great horses, great guide, great experience.

Jackie and Dariann were AWESOME guides. This was the absolute BEST horse ride I have ever taken. This is a must if you want to see a part of the Kohala Mountain no else has access to. The views, horses, and conversations with both Jackie and Dariann were a lot of fun as well as informative and educational. Cannot say enough about this adventure. I plan in doing it everytime I visit the Big Island !!!
This was one of the best experiences my husband and i had on the island. The guides are very knowledgable and friendly. The view is to die for and you have a great view of Hiilawe falls and other falls. The horses also very friendly and easy to ride.
Well worth the -$90/ adult rider.
